Moot court committee

The Moot Court Society (MCS) is a student body committee entrusted with the responsibility of administering mooting events and upholding the high standards of excellence that MKES has set for itself. ‘Mooting’ as an activity can be best described as the closest quality when it comes to practicing to become a lawyer while still studying in law school as it involves identifying legal issues in specific situations, exhaustive research in the area of law, followed by extensive written submissions and gruelling orals before a bench of acclaimedjudges.In a nutshell, the art of “mooting” is the first lesson in the pursuit of achieving every quality to become a thriving lawyer.

Debate Committee

This committee has been formed with some aims and objects like:-

  • To develop public speaking skills, critical thinking abilities and better understanding of hierarchy of the courts while still growing with the MKES of College - Law students community.
  • To organise internal debate competition and to coach and improve each student's critical thinking abilities and public speaking skills.
  • To ensure widespread and high quality participation in Intervarsity debate competitions. To promote the exchange of ideas and skills between the students, and act as a resource base for members of the committee.
  • To provide a forum for all queries regarding debate competitions in India and abroad. To organise MKES debate competition on an annual basis.
  • This committee organizes series of guest lectures on current affairs and also on certain Acts like Right To information Act, 2005, Consumer protection Act, 1986 etc.

Cultural Committee

The Committee organizes a series of Inter Class - Academic, Cultural & Sports Events throughout the year. The Committee organizes inter class - "VISTA" - Inter Class event organized to showcase the talents of our students. The event highlights various activities conducted on stage & off Stage. Trophies & certificates & Medals are awarded to the winners and participants to encourage future participations

The Cultural Committee also conducts various other cultural events to celebrate the Indian festivals such as Christmas, Navratri through a traditional garba dance, Teachers Day, Children’s Day, etc and a self thought cultural week to explore and project the creative side of our students.

Inter-Collegiate Law Event- 'VIDHIGYAAN' Committee

'VIDHIGYAAN' is a National Level - inter-collegiate legal festival driven by the college teaching and non-teaching faculty organized by a dedicated Committee of students. It provides an ideal platform, for all the Law students across law colleges nation-wide, to showcase their talents in the Moot Court Competition and other associated events such as Client Counselling, Legal Debates and Elocutions, etc..

M.K.E.S College of Law has successfully hosted and organised it’s 5th National Moot Court Competition - Vidhigyaan 2020 earlier this year.


Sports Committee

This Committee intends to organize Outdoor and Indoor Games .Common games like Cricket, Football etc. are encouraged through intra-collegiate as well as inter-collegiate participation.

Legal Aid Cell

"Justice is what we usually talk about whenever we come across Indian Judicial Process".The legal aid Cell have taken up the duty of spreading legal awareness around by conducting activities such asStreet Plays, Legal Awareness Camps etc. in the non-law oriented segment of students and academics to promote the importance of knowledge of the Law and current legal advancements.

Magazine Committee

The college will be launched its very First Magazine "LOQUITOR" in the academic year 2018-19 .The Committee dedicates this magazine to display the written work of its students and faculty alongside the events that initiated the exploration of hidden creative minds that channelized their energy in the form of some wonderful literary work.

Anti Ragging Committee

As per guidelines of UGC an Anti Ragging Committee has been constituted to provide healthy and congenial atmosphere to the students of our college.

Internal Complaint Committee

The Committee aim is to entertain & settle grievances of the students with respect to any internal Issues Prevalent within the college premises

Students Aid Fund Committee

The College has created this fund with the objective of rendering financial support for Inhouse Student for completing their Law education.

Field Trip Committee

This committee has organized many educational & recreational field trips such Taloja Jail Visit, Khopoli , Nashik Jail and Central Yerwada Jail (Pune),etc. The Committee also organised many official court visits to comply with the University requirements for the completion of students' curriculum such as Family Court, Labour Court, Industrial Tribunal, Consumer Courts, City Civil Court and Sessions Court (Fort), Supreme Court and Parliament House at New Delhi, etc.

Attendance Committee

This Committee supervises the overall attendance of the students across all classes and declares a timely Defaulters List (and maintains attendance records of all students)to maintain the technical criteria for the minimum attendance as required by the University norms.

Examination Committee

A separate committee has been constituted to ensure trouble-free operation of the examinations system. The committee is dedicated to conduct various examinations like supplementary tests, Viva's , Practical Exams, Preliminary examinations and final exams, in accordance with the University rules and schedules, smoothly. The Committee also ensures timely generation and distribution of marksheets to the students. The Committee is responsible for smooth conduct of University Examinations on behalf of the Mumbai University.
