LL.B (3 Years) Degree Course

The College offers a 3-year law degree course. It is the undergraduate professional degree that is sought by students to get into a legal profession. The course consists of six semesters, i.e. two semesters per year.

  • FULL FORM- Bachelor of Law/Laws (In Latin: Legum Baccalaureus)
  • Intake Capacity- 180 Seats (3 Divisions)
  • Duration of course- Three Years (Six Semesters)
  • Admission Criteria- Merit Basis through Centralized Admission Process (CAP) As Per MH-CET (Maharashtra State Common Entrance Merit)
  • Eligibility- Non-Zero MH-CET Score & Graduation / Post Graduation in any stream, With Minimum 45% of Marks in aggregate (That is 45 % marks for all the parts of the Degree Examination taken together), (candidate belonging to SC and ST Category need only 40% marks and VJNT, SBC and OBC Category with minimum 42% marks in the qualifying examination.)

Subjects for the LL.B. Degree Course [Three Years (Semester - I to VI) with effect from the academic year 2004 - 05.

Important: Candidate will not be admitted nor allowed to appear at the examinations to be conducted at the end of the second, fourth and sixth semesters of 3 year LL.B. course unless he/she has successfully passed the examination in *practical training papers for the respective semesters to be conducted by the college on behalf of the University, with a minimum of 45% of the passing marks.

Note- If a student desires to pursue the study of law for the sake of pure knowledge but does not wish to practice as an advocate, he is eligible for the LL.B (General) Degree at the end of the 2nd year of 3-year LL.B Course. On the successful completion of the 3 years Law course, the student is eligible for the LL.B degree awarded by the University of Mumbai. Students choosing this path can practice in the courts across the country, after qualifying the examination conducted by the All India Bar council, New Delhi.
