The Department of Lifelong Learning and Extension cell was established on 12th October 1978 and has been recognised as a statutory department of University of Mumbai since 1994 to promote harmony and sustained rapport between University, College, Students and Community. The D.L.L.E. Unit has been initiated in the academic year 2021-2022 at M.K.E.S College of Law, Malad (west). The basic objective is to inculcate a social and impervious approach of students to work for public awareness and community services. The department carries out extension work projects encompassing social issues. The students associated with DLLE are awarded 10 additional marks at the final exam for the completion of the project of 120 hours in a year.

The college has undertaken Career Project (CP) in the year 2021-22.

Objective:-

  1. To provide a platform for exchange of ideas and innovative activities for social awareness and community betterment.
  2. To inculcate a warmth of continued sustainable development in the young minds of students.
  3. To develop aims and values of human development amongst the students.
  4. To encourage benevolence for social commitment towards the society.

Positive Outcome:

  1. The students closely encounter various social issues and try to resolve them and work towards reducing the social disparity.
  2. Involvement in DLLE activities encourages increased social commitment.
  3. It helps acquire leadership and management skills.
  4. It fine tunes communication skills thus helps the students create strong networking in the society.
