Mission
To empower women in general and promote gender sensitization among students in particular and society at large along with, acquiring and disseminating knowledge and information about women and their related issues as well as their rights.
Goals
Short Term
- To provide certificate to the students on completion of the course
- To promote gender sensitization among students
- To develop leadership qualities among students
Long Term
- To acquire and disseminate information about women issues
- To promote various Life skills among students in order to empower women
Certificate Course: -
Certificate Course of 30 hours
Two short term courses will consist of two papers respectively -
A. Introduction on Women studies
Course consists of two papers -
- Fundamentals of Women Studies
- Women in India
This course particularly focuses on familiarizing students with gender specific issues, women in social institution, and their historical significance in India. It develops feminist knowledge and critically questions the gender related practices.
B. Women, Law and International Issues
Course consists of two papers -
- Women and Law
- Women and Contemporary issues in global perspective
This specific course focuses on highlighting women related issues and their legal rights, both within India and at the International level, gender specific development and their exploitation both have been critically questioned.
Maximum Age: No bar
Eligibility for admission :
- 10+2 or its equivalent
- In-House students of MKES College of Law are only permitted
- Alumni of the college are also eligible for the course
Examination:
The examination will consist of Internal and External exam
30 seats for each certificate course
Course Duration - 30 Hours
Admission begins – 7th December 2021
Admission close – 30th December 2021
Fees – Rs. 800/-(Eight Hundred Rupees only)
Course Commencement– January 2022
